My Top 3 Travel Tricks!

In the hustle and bustle of packing, one is likely to forget things. Since I travel often, I have become quite good at packing, but I have also picked up a few tips and tricks along the way! These 3 tricks are great for whenever you are in a predicament, not solely when you are traveling, but give these a try and let me know how it works for you!

Number 1
Forgot your shaving cream at home or couldn't find one that met the TSA requirements? Not to worry, conditioner does the trick. Apply conditioner to the areas you are about to shave to create a smooth surface for your razor to glide over. I prefer to use the cheap hotel conditioner instead of using my own for this =)

Number 2
Now whether you have oily skin or the weather is especially warm, a greasy face is never attractive. When you have run out of your blotting sheets or you don't have your powder on you, head to the closest public restroom. As strange as it sounds, toilet seat covers will provide the same matte effect to your skin as blotting papers. Being the germaphobe that I am, I always make sure to toss the first one and use the one behind that, just for sanitary reasons. Remember, you are pressing that on your face!

Number 3
Can't seem to tame those flyaways? I have the trick for you! Flyaways are stubborn and often not noticed until we've left the house. For most of us, we don't want to wet our hair or carry a bottle of hairspray with us wherever we go! I take my old mascara and throw it in my purse for those little emergencies! Take the mascara (I suggest a clear one if you are blonde) and just barely touch the individual hair. Don't worry, this will not make your hair crunchy, you just barely have to touch it! This is fast and compact so that you can tame those stubborn suckers anytime, anywhere!

Let me know if you liked this blog! I would love to post more of these for you guys!
Bon Voyage!

Don't Forget Your Vitamins!

Hi Beauties!

Today I thought I would give you a look into my daily doses! These are the vitamins that I take every morning with breakfast! Let me know if you guys take any of these and leave me suggestions below! I am always open to trying something new!

*Please ask a doctor before trying any of these vitamins, I am not a doctor this is simply what I use*

Vitamin D3
Vitamin D3 is simply one of the five forms of Vitamin D. The only two forms of Vitamin D that pertain to humans is Vitamin D2 and D3. Of those two D3 is slightly more effective in our bloodstream, but there is not a huge difference. The ones I use are made by Carlson. I take one a day. Vitamin D is crucial for metabolizing calcium and phosphorous. It also promotes strong bones and regulating the immune system!

Fish Oil
Fish Oil is a primary source of Omega-3's. This is also by Carlson. These are the Professional Strength 1250 mg soft gels. I take two of these per day. Fish oil is amazing for so many things. Fish Oil is used to promote cardiovascular, joint, brain, and vision health. This supplement aids in high cholesterol, healthy pregnancy, fertility, and skin care! It can also prevent a multitude of diseases such as depression and arthritis. This is an important part of your daily doses!

Biotin
I love Biotin! It helps support healthy hair and skin as well as carbohydrate, protein, and fat metabolism. I just pick up a generic brand from target, but I make sure to get the highest dosage. Mine is the 5,000 mcg capsules, so I only take one a day. Biotin will help your hair grow longer, your nails grow stronger, and your skin shine brighter! When I take this, I notice my hair grows SO fast. From my head to my eyebrows to, well, everywhere!

Women's Multivitamins
Now, of course, if you are a male, go pick up the Men's Multivitamins. The ones I have are by Rainbow Light Certified Organics. I take two a day, but you can take up to four! The ingredients in this supplement are amazing! It is made with organic fruits and vegetables. This has "antioxidants and targeted herbal complexes to renew core body systems at the cellular level for sustained energy, immunity, and longevity."This also helps with digestive and liver support and will also balance estrogen levels!

Evening Primrose
Last, but definitely not least, Evening Primrose! Mine is by Jarrow Formulas, which you can find at Mothers. It is the cold pressed soft gels, 1300 mg. I take one a day. Evening Primrose is similar to Tea Tree Oil, in that it is SO multi purposeful. You can also buy Evening Primrose oil and add it to tea or use it on the skin. It can be used to help skin disorders such as psoriasis, acne, and eczema. It is also used in aiding osteoporosis, high cholesterol, heart disease, cancer, alcoholism, and more. Women often use this supplement during pregnancy to avoid high blood pressure and even shortening labor. Also, it helps with PMS symptoms (why I use it), breast pain, and menopause symptoms, and ADHD.

So there it is! Those are my daily supplements! Let me know what you use, I would love to know!

Top 5 Lipsticks/Glosses for Spring & Summer!

From Left to Right: Make Up For Ever's Rouge Artist Natural in N40, Mac Shy Girl,
Mac Cremesheen Glass in Richer Lusher, Mac Please Me, and Mac Betty Bright

Spring and Summer are a time to experiment with brighter and more vibrant colors. While Creme D'Nude will always be my all time favorite for any season, these are my Top 5 bright lip colors!

Top to Bottom: Make Up For Ever - N40, Mac - Shy Girl,
Mac - Please Me, Mac - Betty Bright,
On the Left: Mac Cremesheen Glass - Richer, Lusher

I'll start off talking about Make Up For Ever's Rouge Artist Natural Lipstick in N40. First of all, I adore the packaging. I find it so sleek and sophisticated. Not only that, but the formula of this lipstick is so moisturizing! The best way to describe this color is Creamsicle Orange! This looks amazing on a variety of skin tones!

Next, it's not Spring without Mac's Shy Girl. This is a cremesheen lipstick, which is my favorite because they just glide on! This color is a peachy nude that looks AMAZING paired with the lipgloss shown above ;)

The newest addition to my lipstick collection, Mac's Please Me. This is a bright Barbie pink that is great during the day or at night! I notice that this color does leave a stain on my lips even after it has worn off, which many of you will probably like.

Lastly, Mac's Betty Bright is not for the timid. It is one of the brightest and funnest colors I own. Unfortunately, this was limited addition as part of the Archies Girls Collection (hence the adorable packaging!). To obtain the true color of this lipstick, I apply a concealer on my lips before hand because I do have very pigmented lips naturally! This is a bright summer coral-pink and it will add a bit of a stain to your lips as well!

And to top it off, Mac's Cremesheen Glass in Richer, Lusher! This is a bright coral lipgloss that looks great over the Make Up For Ever color, Mac's Shy Girl, a plain nude color, or even alone! I love this lipgloss because of its non-sticky formula and easy application! It adds a bit of color to any look you want to rock!

I hope that you guys enjoyed this post and hopefully you will check out some of these colors!
As always, don't forget to check me out on youtube, instagram, and twitter! And follow me to see an upcoming post on my dietary supplements =)

The Key To Juicing!

For those of us health junkies, juicing has become a daily routine! Whether you drink green juices for weight loss or for your daily intake of fruits and vegetables, juicing is beneficial for your body, both internally and externally. Many people are afraid of juicing because of the vibrant and sometimes unattractive color of the juice, however, fresh juices can be delicious if you add the right ingredients. For beginners, I would say to add mostly fruits and a few vegetables with a subtle taste, such as chard or cucumber. In any case, the key to juicing is knowing how each ingredient will benefit your body.

1. Apples
Apples are often used as a base for juices because is gives the juice a sweet taste. As for its benefits, apples are great for cholesterol, digestion, and the immune system.

2. Pineapples
Pineapples are great for so many things! They help prevent and dissolve blood clots and aid in digesting proteins. Pineapples are also an anti-inflammatory great for swelling after surgery or something. Plus, pineapple juice is rumored to help you smell good down there ladies!

3. Berries
Berries have tons of antioxidants and can be good for the cardiovascular system, the urinary system, and menstrual cramps.

4. Cabbage
Cabbage is a great vegetable for juicing because it won't change the taste of the juice. Cabbage prevents against cancer and is great for people with ulcer problems.

5. Celery
Celery is a very strong tasting vegetable. In my opinion, it can be overpowering and can rule out the taste of the other ingredients in your juice. But celery is high in potassium which is great for blood pressure. Celery is great for bloating as well!

6. Carrots
Don't be scared by the bright orange color this will make your juice, carrots will actually give your juice a sweet taste. Carrots are great for the immune system, the arteries, and preventing cancer. Carrots are also considered brain food and can help your complexion!

7. Parsley
Parsley is full of chlorophyll which is great for your blood. It is great for the kidney and gallstones and it supports the heart.

8. Citrus Fruits
I love adding citrus into my juice because it covers the taste of the veggies! While citrus fruits can be very beneficial, too much can add too much acidity to your body. However, citrus is full of vitamin C and prevent cancer.

In case you were wondering, I do have a juicer for at home, however I realized that I was spending more money to juice at home than to just go to Nektar or Whole Foods and pick up a juice. So I prefer to just stop by for a hydrating juice for breakfast or after my workouts! =)

That's all for now! Let me know how you liked this blog and make sure to comment below and I'll be sure to reply! Follow me on blogger, youtube, instagram, and twitter!

Stay happy and healthy!

My Secret (Organic) Remedy for Stomach Pains!

Ginger Wonder Syrup!

This stuff is a versatile ginger syrup with honey. For a quick-fix you can take 1 teaspoon straight, just like medicine! This enhances and soothes digestion and even reduces nausea during pregnancy! I like to use this when I have an upset stomach or minor cramps. My OBGYN even told me that they highly recommend this to their pregnant patients! You can also add this to sparkling water to make your own Ginger Ale or hot tea for a soothing refreshment. Or you can drizzle this over pancakes or ice cream! There are many more uses that you can research, but I wanted to throw it out there for all of you who experience awful menstrual cycles like I do or who regularly get sore stomachs! This is organic with no artificial flavors or colors, so you can take it as often as needed. 100% vegetarian and naturally gluten free! This has become an essential in our household! As soon as we come close to running out, we go get a new one!

Give this a try and let me know how it works for you!

Good luck ladies!

My Favorite Spring & Summer Nail Polishes!

Hey Ladies! I am a nail polish addict, so I found it fitting to post a Spring & Summer Nail Polish post. I am going to split this into two pictures so that you guys can see the true color of these polishes instead of a picture from a mile away! =P I always love reading the names of nail polishes, don't you?

This first set is more of the pastel colors that are perfect for spring and the transition into summer!

From left to right:

1. Essie - Borrowed and Blue
A subdued baby blue for a light swatch of color

2. Essie - Bikini So Teeny
This is one of my all time favorites! I get compliments every time
I wear it! It looks so great with a tan! It's a periwinkle/baby blue color
that is so flattering! It's my go-to color for spring and summer!

3. Essie - Lilacism
A beautiful lilac/lavender color that shouts spring!

4. Essie - Turquoise & Caicos
Mint Chocolate Chip in a cone please!

5. OPI - Alpine White
White is extremely hard to work with, but if you do it right, it can
look so glam! This is an opaque white, which makes it much easier to
work with!

6. Deborah Lippmann - Pop Life
A barbie pink that looks amazing with a tan! And the Deborah
Lippmann formulas are awesome! (More flattering on than in the bottle)

Now for those summer colors that are shockingly bright, because we have an excuse when we have a tan! =)

From left to right:

1. Butter London - Macbeth
A bright pink with orange undertones
(One of my favorite brands)

2. Sinful Colors - Beautiful Girl
An opaque, girly light pink!

3. Sinful Colors - 24/7
A bright party pink that reminds me of a pool party!

4. China Glaze - Flip Flop Fantasy
A shockingly vibrant coral!
(What I have on now!)

5. China Glaze - Aquadelic
A nice bright aqua color with minty green undertones!

6. Illamasqua - Collide
One of the brightest colors I own, a super pigmented hot pink!

There you have it! These are my absolute favorites for Spring and Summer! If you have any questions about the quality of any of these formulas or a more in depth explanation of the color, comment below, and I would love to answer your questions! I hope you guys check these out!

My Favorite Face Mask!

From right here in Hollywood, California, GlamGlow has become a nationwide phenomenon. This face mask is unlike any other! I'll agree that it is hard to ignore the expensive price tag and small packaging, but this mask really makes a huge difference in your complexion! GlamGlow produces two types of masks. One, a tingling and exfoliating mud mask, comes in black packaging. While the white "Super-Mud" packaging is known for targeting more problematic skin. These are both highly addictive wash-off mud masks. You simply apply a thin layer all over your face. I've noticed that the original formula smells like green tea and the newer "Super-Mud" formula smells like black licorice. With that said, the smell is very light! After about 15-20 minutes, wash the mask off. Before you wash it off, you will notice tiny dots all over your face where the mask is extracting any extra oils and toxic substances stuck in your pores. After you rinse it off you will notice that your pores are no longer visible! It's a miracle, right!? I know, a little gross, but so fascinating! Maybe not one that you would want to wear in front of your boyfriend! Haha! I love that you can feel and see the mask working! You can also use this product as a spot treatment for any little problems that may pop up and just leave it on overnight. GlamGlow is conveniently sold at Sephora! This is hands-down my favorite face mask ever!!

And the runner up goes to....

Boscia's Luminizing Black Mask! This is an extremely pigmented black mask that will make you look like you are robbing a bank! Haha, instead of washing this one off, you actually peel it off. This mask is significantly less expensive than the GlamGlow and you receive more product as well. This product is free of parabens and sulfates that could potentially break out your skin. What I love about this product is that what it promises is what you get! This stripped away any excess oil and dead skin and left me with an immediate luminous glow! I was really impressed by this product and I will most definitely use both of these in the future!

So let me know how its goes boys and girls! Pamper yourselves with an at-home spa day! You deserve it! =)

Happy Saturday!

Reduced Guilt Munchies!

Kind Bars! These can be found at almost any grocery store and/or health food store! Starbucks even carries them now! These are great to throw in your purse just in case you are stuck in the office or your lunch plans fall through. In an astounding variety of flavors, Kind bars are both delicious and nutritious. There is really a bar for everyone! These bars are Gluten Free, Non-GMO, high in Protein and Fiber, and low in Sugar! I always keep one or two in my purse or in my car, because you never know when a chocolate craving is going to hit you! My personal favorites are the Cranberry Almond and the Peanut Butter Dark Chocolate. I would definitely recommend this one!
This next one I have found to be very controversial. I am talking about the Happy Yogis Organic Yogurt Snacks. Yes, these are primarily intended for babies and toddlers, but hey, release your inner child and give it a shot! These are small round yogurt snacks that melt in your mouth. I really enjoy these, while others I've had try them find them to be very chalky. Anyway, these are a great source of Pre & Pro-biotics and, DHA, Magnesium, and Vitamin D. I like to keep these in my car in case I get a sweet tooth ;) (I find mine at Whole Foods)

Trader Joe's Organic Mini Peanut Butter Sandwich Crackers! Whew! That's a mouthful, literally! But these are some of my absolute favorites! If you are a peanut butter lover like me, this is right up your alley! These are so tasty and a great alternative to regular store bought peanut butter crackers! These bite sized bits include no hydrogenated oils! Trust me, you'll love 'em!

Next, I have Chobani Greek Yogurt! Chobani is great because you can pretty much find it anywhere, plus, it has all natural ingredients. For a quick fix, pick up one of their many delicious flavored Greek Yogurts. Otherwise, I like to scoop my greek yogurt into a pretty glass cup and top it with fresh, organic fruit for a luxurious and healthy parfait. And if I'm feeling a little naughty, I will throw in some mini dark chocolate chips! You can also top it with some honey or agave syrup for a sweeter indulgence! This is a delicious snack or even breakfast!

I know, you guys are probably thinking, "a banana!?". Yes, a banana! This is an amazing and yummy source of Potassium and Fiber! Simply, grab one as you are running out of the house or get a bunch to leave at your office desk for when you start to hear your tummy grumble! Also, many of you may not know, but eating bananas regularly can help with menstrual pains and muscle cramps! I love to have a banana right before I workout for a boost of energy during my exercise!

Last but not least, Edamame (Soy) Beans. These are great at any time of the day! This is such a versatile food. You can throw them in your salad, eat them plain, or garnish your dish with them! However, you consume them, they are an excellent source of protein! I like to eat mine heated up with a pinch of Organic Sea Salt on them. Or, try them cold with some mozzarella balls, black beans, lime dressing, and cilantro! It makes for a filling, yet healthy lunch!

Well, that's it ladies and gentlemen! I hope you learned a few new things and decide to try them out! Leave me a comment below letting me know if you enjoyed these healthy munchies and would like to see more health posts!

Stay Healthy!

Relax and Unwind!

Tonight, treat yourself to a little pampering! I like to turn up my "Calm" playlist, complete with some John Mayer, Adele, and Coldplay. Consider this time a form of meditation. Don't think about your day or the deadlines you have tomorrow. Clear your mind and just relax.

A bath is never complete without bubbles! I always enjoy using Lush products, specifically the Bubble Bars. I try to get the ones with essential oils and not just sparkles so that my skin feels moisturized when I step out of the water.

Not only do Lush bath bombs make for a fun bath, but they also make great decorations! I took an oversized vase and filled it with a colorful array of bath bombs and bubble bars and put it on my tall dresser for a pop of color in my room. I will post another blog on that once I refill the vase =P

Until next time dolls!
