Many of you may not know, but Tea Tree Oil is useful for an endless plethora of things. Now that I've discovered this and its many uses, I will always keep a bottle around! Tea Tree Oil is a natural antiseptic and disinfectant. The scent can be pretty strong, expect it to fill the room. It smells very natural, like a rainy campsite, as random as that may be. You can find a bottle of this at any health food store such as Trader Joes, Mother's Market, or Whole Foods.
To find out how you can use this, keep reading!
- Acne Treatment - Like I mentioned before, this product is very potent so I suggest diluting it with water before applying it to the skin, especially for people with sensitive skin, because it may burn. With that said, you can apply it to a damp cotton round and use it on problem areas or add a few drops of it to a spray bottle full of water and use it as a toner. I even add a drop or two to my Clinique Moisture Surge (May Favorites)!
- Anti-fungal Treatment - This oil can help treat Athlete's Foot and Eczema as well as other various yeast infections.
- Cuts/Burns - Applying Tea Tree to a cut or burn will act as an antiseptic and clean out the area and protect against infectious debris.
- Dandruff/Lice - Add a few drops to your shampoo to help with dandruff, dry scalp, and lice.
- Anti-Viral (Cold&Flu) - Add a few drops to your bath to help with chest congestion, body odor, sunburns, and persistent coughs!
- Insect Repellent - Add about 15 drops to a spray bottle full of water to repel bugs!
- Laundry - Add a few drops to your laundry to keep them clean and add a fresh scent!
There are 7 great uses for this potent, multi-purposeful product! Try a few of these out and let me know how it goes in the comments below!
Good Luck!
