The Miracle Product You Should Always Have!

Many of you may not know, but Tea Tree Oil is useful for an endless plethora of things. Now that I've discovered this and its many uses, I will always keep a bottle around! Tea Tree Oil is a natural antiseptic and disinfectant. The scent can be pretty strong, expect it to fill the room. It smells very natural, like a rainy campsite, as random as that may be. You can find a bottle of this at any health food store such as Trader Joes, Mother's Market, or Whole Foods.

To find out how you can use this, keep reading!

  1. Acne Treatment - Like I mentioned before, this product is very potent so I suggest diluting it with water before applying it to the skin, especially for people with sensitive skin, because it may burn. With that said, you can apply it to a damp cotton round and use it on problem areas or add a few drops of it to a spray bottle full of water and use it as a toner. I even add a drop or two to my Clinique Moisture Surge (May Favorites)!
  2. Anti-fungal Treatment - This oil can help treat Athlete's Foot and Eczema as well as other various yeast infections.
  3. Cuts/Burns - Applying Tea Tree to a cut or burn will act as an antiseptic and clean out the area and protect against infectious debris.
  4. Dandruff/Lice - Add a few drops to your shampoo to help with dandruff, dry scalp, and lice.
  5. Anti-Viral (Cold&Flu) - Add a few drops to your bath to help with chest congestion, body odor, sunburns, and persistent coughs!
  6. Insect Repellent - Add about 15 drops to a spray bottle full of water to repel bugs!
  7. Laundry - Add a few drops to your laundry to keep them clean and add a fresh scent!

There are 7 great uses for this potent, multi-purposeful product! Try a few of these out and let me know how it goes in the comments below!

Good Luck!

My May Favorites!

Well, it's that time of the month when everyone raves about their favorite products of the month, whether it be beauty or otherwise.. So here we go..!

1. The famous Body Butters from the Body Shop. These are somewhat interesting to me. I find that with each one I purchase, the consistency changes. I am currently using the Mango Body Butter. It has a refreshing smell that is perfect for summer! The consistency of this one is creamy and delightful for all over your body. I use this after I shower and when it says 24 hour moisture, its not kidding! One of my favorite scents is the Moringa, which also has a very creamy texture! The Coconut body butter is lovely and reminds me of the beach. The consistency of the Coconut is a little bit harder, and I find that I need to use more product to cover my body. Either way, I love all the body butters from The Body Shop and they are definitely worth trying! (This body butter is also free of mineral oils which makes it great for moisturizing after a faux tan!)

    2. Let me start off by saying that I have combination/oily and acne-prone skin. While I love my Josie Maran tinted moisturizer, I noticed that a few hours into my day, the product had melted away, exposing my red, acne prone skin, which was definitely not attractive. After trying multiple different ways to prolong the wear of this tinted moisturizer, I decided it was time to find another. Sorry Josie Maran!

This is the Cover FX Natural Finish Oil Free Foundation. This is a water-based foundation that is free of parabens, sulfates, phthalates, mineral oil, talc, gluten, and fragrance - all of which can irritate acne-prone skin. This foundation did not break me out and it wears beautifully all day. It is about medium coverage but it is buildable and blendable to give the perfect coverage for pretty much anybody! (I use shade G 50) If you want to try it out, stop by Sephora and pick up a sample! A little goes a long way with this foundation and my sample lasted me 6 whole uses!

    3. This month I won a bet against my boyfriend which scored me a date night! I also had a certificate to have my makeup done at Sephora so I decided to put the two together and have a glam makeup look for my night out. My makeup artist used this next product on me and it was love at first sight.
I'm talking about the Laura Mercier Baked Blush Bronzer in Ritual. This is a total all-in-one product! It's a pretty pink mixed with a universal bronze that's perfect for summer! The shimmer acts as the perfect highlight and gives you a natural but radiant glow. I believe that this is a limited edition product so get it while you can!

    4. Last, but certainly not least, Clinique Moisture Surge! Because I have acne prone skin, the products I use to cure my acne flare ups can make my skin extremely dry! I use the Clinique Moisture Surge every night and also throughout the day if my skin is feeling unbearably dry. This formula is great for any skin type. It is lightweight but heavy duty. The gel formula is non-greasy and leaves your skin feeling renewed and hydrated. Its like a thirst quench for your skin, your skin will be thanking you! A little goes a long way with this product and it lasted me forever! You can see that I have definitely been using this product! I am absolutely going to repurchase this once I run out. The best part about it is that you can use it under or over makeup! Nobody wants to see their makeup settling on dry patches throughout the day. Apply this product right over your makeup for the same thirst quenching sensation and I promise your makeup won't even budge! It's a miracle!

That's it for this month! I know it's not a lot, but these products are truly amazing! Please leave a comment below to let me know if you have tried any of these products and how you've been liking them!

    Enjoy the weekend Girls!
